After graduating from Hull University in 2006 with a BA Criminology and Psychology, I began working in Child Protection. However, after a move to Australia in 2010, I took some time out to spend time with my husband and my two boys. I am currently in the process of completing my qualifications in Professional Editing and Proofreading. I also review books for First Class Books. In addition, we are in the process of organising an Author Event in Chicago in May, 2014. In what little spare time I have, I enjoy reading (no great shock there!) and socialising with friends old and new.

Really, really wish I had managed to get my hands on ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ before it went to press. The impact that this book had on the Contemporary Romance genre was unfathomable and it has removed the ‘stigma’ previously attached to those who love reading romance novels. However, there are certain parts of the book where I get so frustrated by the editing (or lack thereof) that I can’t help but want to pick it apart and then put it back together!

I find it incredibly difficult to pick just one favourite Author… there are too many great Writers out there! Anyone who knows me will tell you of my not-so-secret fascination with the ‘Alpha Male’ so I love anything with a strong male character.

My ultimate ‘author crush’ has to be Kristen Ashley. I don’t mind admitting that I would read a cereal packet if she’d written it! I’m a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella, Marian Keyes, and J.A. Kerley too.

Again, so many to choose from! My favourite quotes tend to change as and when I discover new ones but my current ‘go to’ book quote is from the wonderful Dr Seuss who states ‘Don’t cry because it’s over; smile because it happened’.

Absolutely no contest here… Arthur Golden’s ‘Memoirs of a Geisha’. I can read and re-read this book over and over and over. I currently have seven copies; ranging from a never-ever-under-any-circumstances-ever-touch First Edition (kept in a box, hidden away from sunlight!) to hard covers, paperbacks and of course the obligatory eBook version. Safe to say I LOVE this book and would encourage anyone to give it a go.

P.s. Really not a fan of the film…in no way does the book any justice whatsoever!

"Ryn went over my books for me before I released them and picked out errors my Editor missed. She is very good, kind and easy to work with. I would tell anyone writing a book to give her a shot. She is amazing and quick." - Bec Botefuhr, Author of The Phoenix Rockstar Series ************************************************************************************ "Ryn showed her love of editing, and her passion for it in my book. She made my book more than I could ever have imagined. The skill level that she pushed out of not only by book, but me too was astounding ... as far as my future writing career goes, Ryn will be my one and only editor. I couldn't imagine putting my work in anyone else's hands" - Stacy Borel, Author of 'Ever Enough' ************************************************************************************ "Ryn was incredible to work with. Not only did she take my manuscript to a whole other level, she became a great confidante and friend. She worked tirelessly to ensure that my book was the best that it could be, without changing my vision. Everyone always complains about edits, but Ryn made me see the joy in edits and polishing. I will never let anyone other than Ryn mark up my manuscripts" - A.E. Woodward, Author of 'Imperfectly Perfect' ************************************************************************************ "Writing essays isn’t my greatest trait. Delphi Rose helped me by showing me where and how I could structure my assignments better to gain more marks. It has saved me from the dreaded FAIL a few times! Thanks Delphi Rose" - Nathaniel Hodges, MA Clinical Exercise Physiology Student

Through my blog I'll keep you up-to-date with the projects I'm working on; as well as giving you all a heads up as to great new Authors and reads.

So I know it has been an embarrassingly-long time since I last posted on here, and for that I am truly sorry! I have had an overwhelming few months that have just been…amazing!

I’ve taken on a fair few clients of late; some of them new indie authors, some of them better known. Most recently I have worked with Michelle Valentine on her Black Falcon series. This was such a great honour as I have been a fan of ‘Noel Falcon’ from the very start! I’m very much looking forward to working on the next BF book, later on this year.

In other news, both Stacy Borel and A.E. Woodward have now released their books! Congratulations ladies! Both novels are getting great feedback and I’m so pleased because these women worked tirelessly, and deserve every success.

Next up I am working on a great manuscript from new author, Rebecca Brooke. Rebecca has written a New Adult novel and I’ll admit, I struggled to put it down when doing my first read through. You guys are going to LOVE Caleb!

That’s all for now. Sorry this update is so short, but I have edits to return to!

    Much love,

Michelle Valentine – Rock My World (Black Falcon 2.5)

    Stacy Borel – Ever Enough

    A.E. Woodward – Imperfectly Perfect

    Hi All

Welcome to my very first blog post as Delphi Rose! So sorry it has taken me so long but I have been absolutely rushed off my feet!

Firstly, one of my Authors, the very talented Mrs Bec Botefuhr, released the third in her Biker Rockstar series entitled ‘Chief’s Angel’. This book went live last week and has had fantastic reviews on both Amazon and Goodreads. It was so great to see my name in print so I just want to say a huge ‘Thank You’ to Bec for giving me the opportunity to be involved in this project. Secondly, this week has been a complete whirlwind in terms of new talent. Having signed up brand new Indie Author A.E. Woodward on Monday of this week, she was swiftly followed by her friend and fellow Author Stacey Borel on Tuesday. I am very excited to be working with these ladies; I’ll keep you all updated of their progress and let you know when their novels go ‘live’! I’ve also signed another Author who would like to remain anonymous for the time being, but hopefully she’ll let me sing her praises soon enough.

The amount of responses I have had since launching both the website and the Facebook page has been completely mind blowing. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to receive as many enquiries as I have done. I am now booking well in to the summer months and I cannot express how exciting this all is for me!

As always, if you do have a manuscript/thesis/dissertation that you would like for me to take a look at, please get in contact! I am always happy to hear from clients; existing and new!

    Ciao for now,
